The distillery is named after the peninsula on which it is located. Construction began in 2013 and production started in 2014 on two wash stills and one spirit still. Ardnamurchan is owned by Adelphi Distillers Ltd., an independent bottler. Ardnamurchan AD 10. 22: 04 matured in a combination of ex bourbon and ex sherry casks
