The distillery shares the fate of many distilleries in Scotland. Glenglassaugh has had to close its doors more than once. Production only resumed in 2008 and single malt whiskey was launched again in 2012. Glenglassaugh 12 years matured the entire time in a combination of ex bourbon, sherry and red wine casks. Bottled at 45% ABV. Alcohol, no coloring, not chill filtered.
