Drop on handle is 8" when doubled over in the "handbag" position or you can adjust it to shoulder strap length and then it's15" . Fabric is leather embossed to look like alligator with leather lining. Label reads "Penn Miller". Excellent condition with no damage; there are some darker areas on one side as I've shown in the close up but to me this comes under the category of natural color
