Dress is quite stretchy due to the bias cut but the waist area is not due to the seam

1940s / 1950s Daniel Green Slippers 50s_halter just a few pinholesAdorable robin's egg blue satin slippers from the 40s or 50s. These are with the original box and seem to be unworn. They were modified at some point. A piece of elastic was inserted in the vamp and covered with a ribbon bow. This was done I believe to add give to the width I believe. It was done cleanly and it not visible beneath the bow. There is also elastic (original) at the back straps. Very nice condition, age related wear only. The insoles curl
