An Edwardian to 1920s long wide embroidered wrap, or stole. The gold metallic embroidery is intended to the front, and the colourful threads are to the reverse as far as I can tell the border to either end has been added by hand, and the tiny hand stitches are all to the coloured side so imagine this was the back however so nearly done, and equally as beautiful so could be worn either way!
