Overall it’s a nice example of an early 20c evening bag

I think this was carried by the bride herself as opposed to a flowegirl etc

it seems a bit big on my hairless mannequin

Its in excellent condition, and has clearly been lovingly home sewn by a fairly accomplished seamstress, with lots of nice finishing details. Smocked bodice is beautifully done In a honeycomb style, as are the cuffs. Fixed hand stitched pleats, as opposed to elastic machined smocking, so there is no give. There are no closures, so over the head access then the waist is loose fitting then ties
