1950s to 1960s violet-covered novelty hat with velvet trim - Marshall and Snelgrove Victorian Labelled a 5Rather striking hat from Marshall and Snelgrove, featuring two shades of what look to me like artificial violets, on a net ground. Rear velvet 'tassels' feature flowers to ends. Condition: Overall good, the paler flowers do show a little age foxing (last photo). Two layers of fine tulle over the sturdier net base ground show rubbing to the edges of top layer, unseen when worn. Measures: Under band approx 22. Should fit most average heads as sits to
