42-110 Nissen Hut option-set-006 Station StaffPrefabricated Nissen Huts were the brainchild of American born, Canadian British inventor and engineer Major Peter Norman Nissen who developed the design during World War One. Deployed extensively during both World Wars, these half cylindrical huts were made of corrugated steel sheets fixed to a metal frame and could provide accommodation for troops, prisoners of war and civilians indeed many were used for temporary housing following the Second World
