30’s Sheer Black Silk Dress with Basque-Style Waist manderin Halter dress made from aFrom the early days of the "little black dress" This sweetly dark dress, circa 1930's, is made of a super lightweight, semi sheer silk fabric. It has shirred gathered shoulder details, deep v neckline and short sleeves finished with a floral embroidered net fabric. The most stunning detail, however, is the Basque style waist, dotted with a row of a dozen small, self covered buttons (non functional). Both bodice and below the knee skirt are gathered
