dating back to the Eocene Epoch—approximately 48 million years ago

so a few pieces may need to be worked to reveal the color beneath

and should yield some excellent slabs

It tends to have some ribbed wavy like pattern along with giant egg orbs, which all come together to form some amazing pattern! It takes a good polish, and works into some unique cabochons. It is getting very hard to come by, and I was just informed that the mine this comes from has been permanently shut down, due to cultural artifacts being found on site; though I've been unable
