Victorian Compass Swivel Fob Chrysolite Circa 1770-80An unusual Victorian 18ct gold mounted swivel fob with a compass on one side and an agate hardstone on the other side that is engraved with a lion sejant (sitting) holding a gothic styled cross with the motto "Semper Fidelis" inscribed beneath his paws. Semper Fidelis is a Latin phrase that means always faithful or always loyal. This fob is hallmarked Birmingham 1887, with makers mark WHH. There are minor dents that are consummate with age on the
