These patterns taught me a lot about fly design, but the use of Material Dams (usually Bucktail Hollow Ties), Flashabou Blends, and Head Shape (Jerk Flies) are still a regular part of my tying. The Impostor is the culmination of all these ideas into one, with the use of material Dams and
