Salvia aurea | Kirstenbosch Kim Flottum Also known as Morning IrisSalvia aurea 'Kirstenbosch' is a tough salvia hailing from South Africa that has aromatic greyish green foliage and attractive coppery rusty bronze flowers from late spring, early summer and forms a dense shrub. The calyces turn from green to rusty brown after the corollas which are what attracts the insects that pollinate the flowers.
