Antique Sterling Silver Gilt Engraved Vinaigrette Birmingham Edward Smith 1839 Sold This is also reflected inA fine antique engraved sterling silver vinaigrette, Edward Smith, Birmingham, 1839. The vinaigrette is finely engine turned to the hinged top and the undersaide, the lid is monogramed engraved with "J. A. to E. C." The outline of the vinaigrette is shaped and engraved, the gilt interior having a hinged engraved & pierced cover. The case is hallmarked both on the inside of the lid and the base, with the anchor mark for Birmingham and the date letter
