It is made in the direct press method which allows the wine to have similar freshness to the classic Sancerre, but retain the aromatics of Pinot Noir. Even though Pinot Noir is typically a later ripening grape, Vattan actually harvests earlier to retain freshness in the wine. Wild strawberries and white fruits like pear. Notes of grapefruit complement this complex bouquet.
