This organically farmed vineyard has turned out a deeply layered wine with a striking perfume of graphite
with high but sweet tannin
long and full-bodied with well-integrated tannin
and revealing sweeter tannin than I remember
Cascina Adelaide Barolo Pernanno - 2010 (750ml) Pauillac first reviewed in issue #89A fruity, open textured style, with light tannins and a kiss of oak. Cherry, black currant and licorice flavors persist, suggesting this should come around on the earlier side. Spicy finish. Best from 2016 through 2028. 200 cases made.
