Vase with Dots by Nancy Briggs Material_Vermeil Great for stroke and letterThis vase is made of white stoneware clay. Black underglaze is applied to the unfired ware, then light carving (sgrafitto) reveals the white clay. The piece is then bisque fired and a colored transparent glass is applied and then the piece is fired to cone 6. Dimensions: 7. 5 tall x 3. 5" in diameter. Handmade by Nancy Briggs of Des Moines, Iowa. My wheel thrown pottery currently is made of red earthenware clay accented with a white slip, under glazes
