It comes from the Barisan range in Sumatra and produces deep purple black pitchers with a toothy, flared peristome. It makes excellent hybrids. Weve found it to be a strict highland grower which really needs cool nights to thrive. This pitcher plant is considered a Highland Tropical plant.
