The whole compact is made from gilded lacquered brass which will maintain its beautiful appearance without the need for cleaning

The mirror is good & gives an excellent reflection - it has a couple of age spots but nothing that would spoil the enjoyment of this beautiful niello ware vanity

As far as I am aware this is the only maker who made sterling silver powder compacts in this style. The lid & base have wonderful guilloche engraving. The mirror is excellent & gives a perfect reflection. The compact is in excellent condition no dings or damage. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. Beautiful & stylish this was
