This one after the beautiful seaside town of Pennan. It has been often rumoured that historically, fisherman along our coast and from the Shetland and Fair Isles, wore these patterns because each town had particular patterns to identify the origin of the sailor in any wrecking tragedies, which were much more common at the time.
