19th Century Carved Jade Dragon & Poppy Pendant music box It opens up to revealDATE: Jade Panel, c. 1820 Gold Pendant Mount, c. 1920 Stunning jade panel carved to depict a writhing dragon and opium poppy dating from early 19th century China and mounted in a simple 18k gold pendant frame (some time during the 1920s 30s). After the Qing court was dissolved in 1912, many articles ended up in the USA and Europe, and were incorporated into new pieces of jewellery such as this one.
