Mid Victorian Emerald Frog Brooch 15k gold It’s modelled in 18 karatDATE: Victorian, c. 1870 Remarkable Victorian frog brooch set with 27 natural emeralds, rose cut diamonds, and ruby cabochon eyes. The craftsmanship is charming, with beautifully textured gold hands and feet almost leaf like and diamond set legs and arms. The emeralds total 8. 5 carats, set in cut down "pie crust" outer settings, and it dates from the 1870s. Gloriously whimsical, with open mouth and cheeky expression, it's crafted in sterling silver.
