The stone displays a deep hue, with flashes of lighter red when moved in the light. A gold snakes head and tail meet at the side of the garnet, creating an eternal loop that wraps around the entire piece, with a locket compartment to the back. Modelled in 15 karat yellow gold, it dates from the Victorian period and can be worn with the brooch
