Bura-Mrgudic 'Basina' Plavac Mali Croatia, 2021 moonshine 10% ClairetteA testament to the traditions of Croatian winemaking, this Plavac Mali (a relative precursor of Zinfandel) is made with extreme care in a limited production of ca. 2000 bottles per year. Delicate tannins and purposeful acid provide a perfect stage for its notes of blueberry, plum, and white pepper. We would recommend pairing this wine with something just as tied to the Adriatic, a simple fried calamari, or a comforting evapi.
