Contemporary 'Emergency £5' Charm cufflinks Birmingham 1876DATE: Contemporary, c. 2002 A cool charm with a glass casing containing a 5 note folded inside. The front features a large platinum symbol on the front, decorated with brilliant cut diamonds and millegrain. The outer case is crafted in 14k gold with an open work body. Inside sits a British 5 note, where the top can be opened. Dates to 2002. Pound note charms were referred to as emergency money charms, the idea being you break the class in an emergency
