Green Grape Yunomi Japanese Teacup MATERIAL_Copper passed down since the TaishoThis is a Hasami Ware cup made by Kousai Kiln. It is hand painted to bring out the warm texture of the clay. The entire surface of the teacup is finished with green blue overglaze painting of grapes and grape leaves. The rough texture of the clay is coated with a glossy, bright glaze that offers different textures. The surface cracks seen on the inside are due to the traditional technique of "kannyu" (penetration), which allows the viewer to
