Victorian Ruby & Emerald Paste Snake Bangle almandine garnet is a member of theDATE: Victorian, c. 1900 Striking late Victorian snake bangle, circa 1900. The serpent is particularly well executed, open mouthed with jagged teeth and forked tongue on display, set with a vivid ruby paste "brain" and emerald paste eyes. Hammered texture employed to represent the scales, and the body wraps around itself a few times after looping round the wrist. Crafted in 9 karat gold throughout.
