Vintage 18k Gold Ring by Lalaounis enamel Width of bangle: 1DATE: Vintage, c. 1970 Ilias Lalaounis was born in Athens in 1920, the third generation of a family of goldsmiths and watchmakers from Delphi. After studying economics and law at the University of Athens, he decided to join his uncles jewellery firm in 1941, where he apprenticed as a goldsmith, and eventually took over his family firm, and he began studying the art of his ancestors. In the 1970's, his work was very popular, and was known for his
