The grim reaper is modelled in minute pieces of gold under an oval faceted rock crystal, and set over a lock of blonde hair with fine gold wire creating a horizon line behind the figure. A double dedication to the back of the slider reads: "WC obt 24th Dec 1714, MC obt 6 Mar 1717",
