Two primary zip top compartments for the boy of the back pack; the front one has one zipped and two open and pockets, the rear one has a laptop compartment. The gusseted pocket on the front has a zipped mesh pocket and pen holders. There is an additional secure zipped pocket on the back concealed in the mesh
