Victorian Carved Mutton Fat Jade Guard Dog Pendant diamond ring not obvious when wornDATE: Victorian, c. 1880 Cool Chinese carved jade dog pendant dating from the latter half of the 19th century. This colour of nephrite jade is highly prized in China, known as mutton fat (gross) jade it's found in shades ranging from translucent white to pale yellow. This dog's carved in a heavily stylised fashion, resting on its haunches with ears back and canines on full display. With drill hole to suspend on a cord, or alternatively we can have a
