RENAISSANCE BLUE Hand Dyed on Buttery Soft DK - Semi-Solid Yarn jan25-2 When I made Texas BluebonnetRenaissance Blue is a rich, medium blue similar to a blue pigment that was used a great deal in Renaissance art. It's similar in character to Annunciation Blue but considerably lighter. YARN BASE I dyed it on my Buttery Soft DK base, which is made of 45% baby alpaca, 45% extra soft 19. 5 micron merino, and 10% silk, and it really lives up to its name! Like most, this colorway is a little more muted on Buttery Soft DK than on many of my other yarn
